Students Spring Into Action, Help Food Pantry With Fresh Baked Bread

Five-dozen loaves of bread donated to Long Valley Interfaith Food Pantry.

The annual spring celebration at Benedict A. Cucinella School was more than just a learning experience this year.

First grade students at the school – 88 in all – and their four teachers (Kim MacMillan, Brianna Rosato, Catherine McQueeny, and Karen Cross) helped make fresh baked bread for the Long Valley Interfaith Food Pantry and the community members it serves.

Kids measured, mixed, and packaged the bread and learned the importance of the food pantry’s role in the community.
