He was waiting for a parent to pick him up when he became angry, police said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A New York teenager was charged after throwing a chair inside police headquarters, Washington Township police said.
The 17-year-old boy, who police did not name, was arrested on Saturday after police say they found marijuana during a traffic stop. He was taken to police headquarters, and "became irate" and threw a chair in the interview room while waiting for a parent, police said. The chair allegedly damaged the light socket and metal door.
The boy was charged with possession of marijuana and criminal mischief.
