Teens Found With Drugs In Morris County Park: Police

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County Park Police made multiple arrests between Dec. 8 and 9, including for a teenager allegedly caught with drugs. Read about those arrests, as written by police, here:
-12/8: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for equipment violations in Hanover Township. An investigation led to Ibn S. Bennett, age 26, of Newark, to be charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances (suspected Cocaine and Marijuana), Possession of the aforementioned with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, and several motor-vehicle violations. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.
-12/8: ARREST FOR D.W.I.: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Jefferson. An investigation led to Peter J. Franco, age 22, of Jefferson, to be charged with Driving While Intoxicated and several other motor-vehicle violations. He was released with a court date pending.

-12/9: ARRESTS FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for equipment violations in Morristown. An investigation led to a juvenile and Nylah M. Steele, age 18, of Morristown, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. The juvenile was released to a guardian and Ms. Steele was released with a court date pending.
-12/9: ARREST FOR D.W.I.: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Morristown. An investigation led to Steven W. Katz, age 24, of Montville, to be charged with Driving While Intoxicated and several motor-vehicle violations. He was released with a court date pending.

-12/10: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Mount Olive. An investigation led to Charles C. Tredway, age 30, of Roxbury, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (suspected Heroin), Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, and several motor-vehicle violations. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility with a court date pending.
