On Saturday, November 11, current members and alumni of Boy Scout Troop 236 participated in the planting of native trees at Mill Pond Park in Long Valley. The Troop members joined with volunteers from the Washington Township Green Team, The Long Valley Garden Club and the Washington Township Land Trust to plant seven mature native trees in an area that was cleared of weeds a few weeks earlier by volunteers from the same organizations. It was a beautiful day for this work and the volunteer team felt good about their efforts when the work was completed.
