Undocumented Immigrant Accused Of Assault In Dover Reportedly Wanted For Murder In Mexico

The murder charge was discovered when Jose A. Gonzalez-Gamboa was arrested for allegedly assaulting a relative.

DOVER, NJ— An undocumented immigrant charged with assault in Dover is also wanted in Mexico on murder charges, according to media reports.

Jose A. Gonzalez-Gamboa, 28, was arrested on Jan. 25 after he allegedly assaulted a relative in a domestic dispute at his apartment, the Daily Record reported.

US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to Patch that Gonzalez-Gamboa is an undocumented immigrant and is currently in the custody of Morris County, but were unable to confirm the murder charges in Mexico, citing privacy reasons.

Gonzalez-Gamboa will first stand trial in Morris County for the January assault charges, the Daily Record reported. He will remain in the custody of Morris County, and will be turned over to ICE once the assault charges are resolved.
