Washington Township Police Make DUI, Warrant, Drug Arrests
Washington Township officers made several arrests following traffic stops for various violations and an active warrant.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township police recently conducted several arrests following traffic stops and an investigation into erratic driving. The incidents led to charges for driving under the influence, an active warrant, and drug possession.
In one incident, officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically on US Highway 46 East. Police stopped a 55-year-old female driver. She was found to be operating under the influence, according to police.
The driver was arrested and charged with multiple motor vehicle violations. She was subsequently released to a responsible party. Her court appearance is scheduled for Washington Township Municipal Court.

Separately, during a traffic stop on East Avenue for a moving violation, officers identified a 29-year-old man. This individual had an active NCIC warrant out of Washington Township in Warren County, police said. The man was arrested and then turned over to the Washington Township Police in Warren County.
In a third incident, officers stopped a vehicle on US Highway 46 due to an equipment violation. During this stop, a 55-year-old female driver was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to officials. She was arrested and charged with multiple motor vehicle violations.

This driver was also released, pending a court appearance. Her case will be heard in Morris County Superior Court. These arrests highlight ongoing police activity in the township to address various violations on local roadways.
