Washington Twp. Library is More Than Just Books

Free institution offers arts and entertainment presentations.

The offers a wide range of programs that are free to the town’s residents. Here’s a preview of some of the library’s offerings coming up in the next few weeks.

On Sunday, April 2, the library will host a Bach 2 Rock concert at 1 p.m. The program will present the simplicity of the acoustic violin by performing simple Bach minuet. Caryn Lin is the violinist. The program is open and free to the public.

Spring is here, which means so is baseball, and the library is going to give you a photographic tour of baseball fields and American landscapes on Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m. Dr. Stanton Green’s photographic tour of baseball parks examines the complex relationship between baseball as a key aspect of American culture and the places and landscapes in which it is played.

Sticking with the baseball theme, the library will host ‘What is the Baseball Talmud?’ by Howard Megdal, which reveals and explores the history of Jewish baseball players. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 13, at 7 p.m.
