Washington Twp Police Blotter: Nov. 4-17

Washington Township police made multiple arrests this month, including for drugs and drunk driving.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township police made multiple arrests this month, including for drugs and drunk driving. Read about those arrests here, as written by the WTPD:

On November 4, 2017 at 2:65 a.m., Patrol Officer Michael Thompson conducted a motor vehicle stop on Drakestown Road for a motor vehicle violation. Upon speaking to the driver who was identified as Jake Vail, PO Thompson detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle along with an open container of an alcoholic beverage in plain view. A subsequent investigation by PO Thompson found Mr. Vail was in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and alcoholic beverages. Mr. Vail was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Mr. Vail was issued a Criminal Complaint for possession of marijuana (under of 50 gram), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an alcoholic beverage under the legal age. Mr. Vail was also issued Motor Vehicle complaints for maintenance of lamps and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. Mr. Vail was later released with a mandatory court appearance in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On November 6, 2017 at 11:38 p.m., Sgt. Brian Bigham conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Grove Road for a motor vehicle violation. While speaking to the driver, Sgt. Bigham was presented with a fraudulent name and date of birth in an effort to conceal the driver’s identity. A subsequent investigation by Sgt. Bigham found that Kiyhana Mosby was operating the vehicle and had a suspended license along with the vehicle registration. Ms. Mosby was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Ms. Mosby was issued a criminal complaint for Hindering Apprehension along with the following motor vehicle complaints; Driving While Suspended, Suspended Registration and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Ms. Mosby was later released with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On November 11, 2017 at 12:44 p.m., Patrol Officer Jason Hensley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Schooley’s Mountain Road for a motor vehicle violation. Upon approaching the vehicle PO Hensley detected the odor of Marijuana emanating from within the vehicle. A subsequent investigation revealed the juvenile front seat passenger was in Possession of Marijuana and was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.
The juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana (under 50 grams) along with Criminal Mischief for damage he caused to the interview room located inside of headquarters. While awaiting a parental custodian to arrive the juvenile became irate and threw a chair at the wall causing damage to it along with the light socket and metal door.

On November 12, 2017 at approximately 3:16 a.m., Patrol Officer Jason Hensley conducted a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. While speaking to the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Shannon McCloskey-Taha, PO Hensley detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from within the vehicle. A subsequent investigation by PO Hensley found that Ms. McCloskey-Taha was operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Ms. McCloskey-Taha was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Ms. McCloskey-Taha was issued motor vehicle complaints for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right and Failure to Move Right for Overtaking Vehicles. Ms. McCloskey was later released to a responsible adult with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On November 17, 2017 at 3:20 a.m., Patrol Officer Jason Hensley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Schooleys Mountain Road for a motor vehicle violation. Upon speaking with the driver, Javier Leonor-Isidoro, P.O. Hensley detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from within the vehicle. A subsequent investigation by PO Hensley confirmed that Mr. Leonor-Isidoro was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. Mr. Leonor-Isidoro was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Mr. Leonor-Isidoro was issued the following motor vehicle complaints; Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right and Unlicensed Driver. Mr. Leonor-Isidoro was later released to a responsible adult with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court
