The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory for the region.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory for the Morris County region and nearby areas of North Jersey beginning at 1 p.m. and lasting through 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The NWS is issuing an advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain, calling for snow and sleet in the early afternoon and mixing with freezing rain later in the afternoon and evening. This type of weather will produce slippery conditions this afternoon into tonight.
Up to an inch of show is expected to fall, according to the NWS.

The NWS is alerting drivers of travel difficulties, including slippery roads and limited visibility, and is urging drivers to use caution while driving.
