Woman Hit 6 Parked Cars, Shoplifted Dog Food: Hackettstown Police

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A woman hit six parked cars and shoplifted magazines and dog food before getting arrested over the weekend, Hackettstown police said.

Linda Harris, 58, of Hackettstown, was allegedly intoxicated Sunday morning when she hit multiple cars along Peter Drive. Police say Harris hit six cars along the road before driving to the Quick Check.

She is accused of stealing six magazine and a can of dog food worth a total of $35.19 from the store.

Police say Harris had two plastic straws containing suspected heroin residue, two wax fold packages containing suspected heroin residue and four Oxycodone pills on her at the time. She was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, Oxycodone without prescription and drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, driving while under the influence, driving while under the influence in a school zone, reckless driving, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to report a motor vehicle accident, failure to inspect and a cracked windshield.

She was released with an upcoming court date.
