The Borough of Madison will spend $2 million to install 4,100 new water meters in Madison homes and businesses. The new water meters will be more accurate than the current ones, resulting in more accurate user fees, said James Finelli, acting leadman in the Madison Water Department.

Madison, Chatham Town-Wide Yard Sale Outperforms Previous Years

With spring comes spring cleaning, and on April 30th, more than 100 Chatham and Madison residents took part in the town-wide yard sale. The yard sale, which ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., had 112 registrants, which surpassed the previous year's total of 110. The sale, according to Madison Borough officials, was one of the most successful ever held.

National Merit Scholarship Winner Announced For Madison

One student from Madison High School has been named National Merit Scholarship winner. Skylar S. Walters was chosen as a 2022 National Scholarship Program finalist from among 15,000 applicants. Walters intends to pursue a future career in science and research.

Madison High School Musical Nominated For NJ Award

Madison High School is among those nominated for Paper Mill Playhouse's 2022 statewide Rising Star Awards. Every year, schools compete for the opportunity to have their music heard. This year's nominees were announced on May 2. The winners will be announced live on June 6th, with presenters from Broadway and beyond. The ceremony will be streamed live on Paper Mill's Facebook and YouTube pages.

Madison Borough Sees Rise In COVID-19 Cases In Recent Weeks

COVID-19 cases in Madison have increased in the last month, according to the Borough of Madison, and this trend is expected to continue. In the last fourteen days, 33 confirmed positive tests have been performed and reported to the Madison Health Department, compared to 18 confirmed positive tests reported to the Madison Health Department at this time last month.
