Jaguar Slated To Expand Mahwah Headquarters In 2018, Company Says
Company will construct a 30,000-square-foot research, training, and development center.

MAHWAH, N.J. — Jaguar Land Rover North America is slated to move from its MacArthur Boulevard location to its new home on Route 17 sometime in early 2018, the company announced Tuesday.
The township Planning Board signed off on the move recently, which will see the company that's called Mahwah home since 1989 stay in town, along with 315 jobs, up from the 250 people who work at the headquarters now.
Jaguar will relocate to the Sharp headquarters and renovate the building, expanding the footprint from 100,000 to 140,000-square-feet. The relocation is possible because the state granted Jaguar a 10-year, $27 million tax break to remain in New Jersey. Sharp announced in August it would move its headquarters, along with 350 employees, to Montvale.

Technology will be at the forefront of the renovation, the company announced. Employees will be able to work smarter and more collaboratively with colleagues from around the world. In addition, Jaguar Land Rover plans to build a 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art product research, training, and development center.
“Mahwah has long been an excellent home for our operations and is convenient and desirable for our workforce,” said Lee Maas, vice president of development and project director, of Jaguar Land Rover North America, who thanked the New Jersey Economic Development Authority for the tax break, Governor Christie, and Mayor William Laforet for keeping the company in Mahwah. "Together we have ensured a future home for Jaguar Land Rover in the area with a world class modern facility."
