Mahwah Planning Board OKs Jaguar's Move To Sharp Site

Jaguar agreed to move from its 100,000-square-foot headquarters to Sharp's 140,000-square-foot facility on Route 17.

MAHWAH, N.J. — The Planning Board approved Monday Jaguar North America's move across town, a move that has been long in the making and can now, formally, move ahead.

The board approve the move Sept. 12.

The move will see Jaguar expand its North American headquarters from 100,000-square-feet to 140,000-square-feet.

The relocation is possible because the state granted Jaguar a 10-year, $27 million tax break to stay in New Jersey. Sharp announced in August it would move its headquarters, along with 350 employees, to Montvale.

Jaguar, and its 250 employees, has been on MacArthur Boulevard since 1990. The company previously said it is projecting to bring that total to about 300 within the next few years.
