
This year, Yom Kippur will be observed beginning at sundown Friday.
According to the Huffington Post, on Yom Kippur, the most solemn and important day of the year in Judaism, more people go to the synagogue than on any other holiday. The “Day of Atonement” is spent confessing sins and abstaining from eating, drinking, having sex and wearing animal-based clothing, like leather.
