• Theft, Credit Card Fraud, Harassment: Manalapan Police Blotter (patch.com) — Manalapan residents are being warned after several recent police reports detailed credit card fraud attempts, a massive long-term social media scam, and an explicit text message complaint. Incidents between Sept. 23 and 29 involved thousands of dollars in attempted or actual fraud, including one resident allegedly deceived into sending about $360,000 over six years.

• Manalapan could get industrial building near Battlefield State Park (app.com) — Manalapan's planning board is set to vote Thursday night on a nearly 233,000-square-foot flex-space building, mostly warehouse, proposed across Route 33 from Monmouth Battlefield State Park. After a court ruling favoring the developer, the township archaeologist will present findings as residents weigh traffic, zoning, and historic preservation concerns that could shape development along this key corridor.

• Senior field hockey player's hat trick carries team to comeback victory (nj.com subscription) — Manalapan's field hockey team jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at home on a goal by Gianna Bullen, but Freehold Borough stormed back for a 4-1 Shore Conference win Wednesday. Senior Karly Burlew powered the comeback with three goals and an assist, dropping Manalapan's record to 1-10 while highlighting areas the Braves will look to improve.
