A 34-year-old Belmar man was charged Monday with robbery at a 7-11 in Asbury Park after lunging at a cash register, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.
Ricky Negron of 13th Avenue allegedly committed robbery by using "force" on an employee of 7-11, according to court records.
Negron then allegedly grabbed and attempted to punch the victim as he lunged toward the cash register, according to court records.
He was lodged on $20,000 bail with no 10 percent option. He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday at 12:05 p.m.
