A 44-year-old Brielle woman was charged with burglary and criminal mischief recently after allegedly damaging property in Spring Lake Heights, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.
Cindy Schools of Union Lane was charged with damaging two window screens when she entered the victim's residence on Essex Avenue on April 20, records show.
Schools then allegedly stole two personal checks belonging to the victim, records say.
The accused then wrote the checks totaling $360 and had a friend cash them on her behalf.
Schools was lodged in jail on $2,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court on June 19 at 9 a.m.
