CVCJ to Benefit from Bowling Fundraiser
Presented by Georgian Court University Emerging Leaders

Sea Girt, NJ (March 30,2018) Set ‘em up! On Sunday, April 8, 2018, Georgian Court University Emerging Leaders is presenting “Strike Out Loneliness”, a fundraiser to benefit Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) in its mission to serve homebound senior citizens in Monmouth and Ocean County. The event will take place at The Lanes at Sea Girt, and runs from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
CVCJ has provided many Georgian Court University (GCU) students with internships ranging from video projects and graphic design to website management. One of last year’s Monmouth County office interns, Casey Tumblety, a senior Emerging Leader at GCU, wanted to create an event to benefit an organization he feels is crucial for the local aging population. “I am grateful for the opportunities that I had to intern with CVCJ, and I feel it is very important to return the favor. CVCJ aims to tackle the loneliness that senior citizens sadly face as they grow older. I’ve been bowling since I was 9 years old and it’s a favorite pastime. I thought, why not bring people together who love to bowl, and reflect on and celebrate the success that CVCJ has had over 25 years?”
