Death Near The Tracks In Point Pleasant Beach
Man's body found in coupling area, investigation ongoing.

A man’s body was discovered near the coupling area on the New Jersey Transit train tracks early this morning in Point Pleasant Beach, police said.
Point Beach police received a 911 call at 8:29 a.m. about a possible first aid call, Detective Clint Daniel said.

When police responded, they realized the man was dead, he said.
Daniel said New Jersey Transit police is the lead agency in the investigation. Members of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office are also on the scene.

The North Jersey Coast Line rail service is suspended at Bay Head, Point Pleasant and Manasquan in both directions.
