The Roy Walker Memorial Scholarship was created by Independent Fire Company #1, Spring Lake Heights to both honor Roy Walker and encourage volunteerism in our youth. Roy Walker was a member of the fire company for 39 years, and he devoted a large portion of his life to volunteer service involving the youth of our community as well as Monmouth County. Roy was truly a fine example for the youth he worked with, and this scholarship is our way of continuing the example he had set.
We will be having a gift auction, 50/50, lite fare will be provided, and 1 free drink with admission!
This year, our fundraiser will be held at The Porch, 810 Highway 71, Spring Lake Heights from 7:00pm until 11:30pm on July 26.
