Fisherman Falls Off Jetty, Tumbles Into Ocean

A fisherman who toppled off the north jetty in Manasquan was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Monday night with non-lifethreatening injuries, according to app.com.

The man apparently fell asleep. When a friend went to wake him, he was startled and fell into the water, said Manasquan Fire Department Assistant Chief Dave Kircher.

The fisherman was able to climb out of the water, but couldn’t make it up on the jetty rocks, he said.
