Manasquan To Battle Point Pleasant Beach In Tug-O-War Event
Parts of the Manasquan Inlet will be closed at times during the event. A rope will stretch across the inlet.

The rivalry between Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach continues. Only this time, the battlefield will be the Manasquan Inlet.
The Inaugural Intercoastal Tug-O- War event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 20th at the Manasquan Inlet. A rope will stretch across the inlet, and each town will tug.
The event will include a festival on both the Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach side of the inlet to compliment the tug event that will match teams from each town/county against one another, according to the Manasquan Inlet Intercoastal Tug- O – War Committee.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, the Inlet will not be closed the entire time.
Inlet closure times are as follows: From 12 noon to 1:10 p.m. and from 1:40 p.m. to 2:20 p.m.

The rope being used for the event will be equipped with a quick disconnect to accommodate emergencies and the flow of boat traffic.
The Brielle and Manasquan Fire Departments be in place with their vessels to assist with the removal and securing of the rope.
