Three Rescued When Boat Hits Jetty
The incident happened about 9 p.m. Friday in Spring Lake.

Three people were rescued from a boat that ran aground on a jetty Friday night in Spring Lake in a dramatic rescue, according to reports.
Lifeguards, police and firefighters from Spring Lake and neighboring towns, as well as the State Police and the Coast Guard responded to help the three people from the 21-foot Seaswirl Striper center console fishing boat that ran onto a jetty near the Breakers Hotel, according to NJ.com.

The occupants were two men and a woman, according to the Newsworks blog Down the Shore.
One of the men suffered a head injury and had to be removed from the boat using a Stokes basket to float him to shore, and was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with serious injuries, according to NJ.com.

Bill Senck of Oakhurst, a local photographer who describes himself as hobbyist, was having coffee with a friend nearby when all the sirens and trucks rushed past going to the beach. He took the photos shared with this article and said the response was incredible.
“They did a great job,” he said of the first responders.
