Two Men Charged In Manasquan Vehicle Burglaries
Christian Meehan and Alex Mayer of Point Pleasant have been linked to a string of vehicle burglaries in three towns

Two Point Pleasant men were arrested last week in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries in Brick, Point Pleasant Beach and Manasquan, Point Pleasant Police Chief Richard A. Larsen said.
Christian Meehan, 19, and Alex Mayer were arrested Nov. 26 as the result of a possession of stolen property investigation, Larse said.

They are accused of breaking into a number of vehicles in those three towns and stealing items ranging from sunglasses and cash to power tools, electronics and fishing gear, Larsen said, items that were recovered during the course of the investigation.
Point Pleasant Detective Joseph Hynes arrested the two and charged Mayer with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft, and disorderly persons offenses of possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court date, Larsen said.

Meehan was charged with third-degree counts of burglary, theft, and possession of heroin, a fourth-degree count of obstructing the administration of law, and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Meehan is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $50,000 bail, no 10 percent.
