Wall Police Report 'Multiple' Car Burglaries in West Belmar Section

All the car break-ins apparently took place on Jan. 7.

Six cars were burglarized in the West Belmar section of the township, all on one day Wall Police Chief Robert L. Brice said.

The break-ins took place at four different homes. Police say the burglaries took place between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. Two of the vehicles were said to be locked, the others were unlocked, the chief said.

Items were taken from the vehicles including cash, credit cards, electronic devices, and sunglasses.
Some of the stolen credit cards were used on Jan. 7 between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at various businesses in the Brick Township and Point Pleasant area, including Walmart, Stop and Shop, Home Depot, Dunkin Donuts, and Sunoco, Brice said.

Police have released surveillance video taken from Walmart cameras of possible suspects who used the stolen credit cards and the vehicle they were driving, he said.
