Manchester Recreation Plans Full Summer Of Fun Events

Concerts, cornhole, fireworks, and movies: See what's planned in Manchester this summer and mark your calendar.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Recreation Department has announced a full schedule of events for the community to enjoy this summer even as residents continue to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Concerts, tournaments and movies all are on tap, as the state eases restrictions on the number of people permitted at public gatherings. That number rises to 500 as of July 3.

If you're planning to attend any of the events below, be prepared to socially distance and follow any other coronavirus guidelines that are in place at the time of the events.

July 8: Concert at Harry Wright Lake. 6 p.m. Jukebox Legends, 7:30 p.m. New Power Soul

July 22: Concert at Harry Wright Lake. 6 p.m. Gerard Esposito, 7:30 p.m. Emil Stucchio & The Classics

Aug. 1: Corn Hole Tournament at Pine Lake; register by July 10. Tournament begins at 10 a.m.

Aug. 7: Luau at the Lake, 6:30 p.m. at Harry Wright Lake.

Aug. 8: Horseshoe Tournament at Harry Wright Lake. Tournament begins at 10:30 a.m., registration closes at 9:30 a.m.

Aug. 12: Concert at Harry Wright Lake. 6 p.m. Stiletto & the Saxman, 7:30 p.m. Stone Flower

Aug. 26: Concert at Harry Wright Lake, with free rides and fireworks. Concert starts at 6 p.m. with Julian & Dominique, and 7:30 p.m. is Garden State Radio. Fireworks at dusk.

Sept. 18: Movie at Pine Lake. 7:30 p.m. Movie is TBA.

Oct. 9: Movie at Pine Lake. 6:45 p.m. Movie is TBA.

Due to COVID-19 the dance floor at Harry Wright Lake will be used for chairs in order to maintain 6-foot social distancing.

Masks must be worn when using the restrooms, traveling on the township's buses and when 6-foot social distancing cannot be maintained.
