Maplewood Sees 2 Stolen Cars, 7 Auto Burglaries In 4 Days: Cops
Maplewood residents reported stolen cars on Courter Avenue and Midland Boulevard. See where the auto break-ins took place.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood saw two stolen vehicles and at least seven thefts from autos during a four-day period last week, authorities say.
According to the Maplewood Police Department, the following stolen vehicle reports were taken:
- Oct. 14 - Motor Vehicle Theft - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle on Courter Avenue was stolen. The vehicle was recovered in Newark on Oct. 16.
- Oct. 15 - Motor Vehicle Theft - During the overnight hours a Pontiac was stolen from Midland Boulevard. The vehicle was recovered in Newark after being involved in a motor vehicle collision.
According to the Maplewood Police Department, the following theft from auto incidents were reported:

- Oct. 12 – Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle on Elmwood Avenue was entered and a wallet, cash, driver’s license and credit cards were stolen.
- Oct. 13 - Theft from Auto - At approximately 11:15 p.m., a resident of Suffolk Avenue observed a tall, thin male going through an unsecured vehicle in her driveway. Sunglasses and a cell phone charger were reportedly stolen.
- Oct. 14 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours two unsecured vehicles on Maryland Road were entered and a GPS unit was stolen from one of them.
- Oct. 14 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle on East Cedar Lane was entered and cash and a social security card were stolen.
- Oct. 15 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle on Suffolk Avenue was entered and cash and a tablet were stolen.
- Oct. 15 - Theft from Auto - At approximately 9:45 p.m., a resident of Boyden Avenue observed three males going through his vehicle that had been left unsecured. When confronted, one male fled towards Irvington Avenue and two fled east on Parker Avenue. Change was found to be missing from the vehicle.
- Oct. 15 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle on Midland Boulevard was entered and change was stolen.
