New Jersey’s First Lady has decided to quit her day job, and the move comes at a peculiar time, just a day after Governor Chris Christie said he’d be announcing his run for president – or not – in either May or June.
Mary Pat Christie, the managing director at Angelo, Gordon & Co. hedge fund, is leaving behind her $475,000 annual salary to “spend more time with her children,” according to app.com.
Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts told the publication “Mrs. Christie has decided to take a hiatus,” from her job in the financial industry.

Earlier this week, Chris Christie appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and told the host he plans on making his announcement on a presidential run as early as May or June.
Christie has spent a lot of time out of state lately, visiting New Hampshire and other key election states.

A politico.com poll recently showed the majority of New Jersey residents believe that if Christie had any knowledge or support of the Fort Lee traffic jam in September 2013, dubbed as BridgeGate, that he should leave office immediately. Some 29-percent in that same poll said he should leave office and be prosecuted.
What do you think? Does Mary Pat Christie’s job hiatus signal a presidential run for her husband?
