Check Out This Monmouth County Coloring Book
For the first time ever, the county released a Monmouth County coloring book, which features local scenes from Colts Neck to Asbury Park.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Wouldn't it be kind of cool if Monmouth County kids (and adults!) could color in some of their favorite local scenery, such as downtown Red Bank, Rumson-Fair Haven High School and the streets of Asbury Park?
Well, now they can. Last week, for the first time ever, Monmouth County released the first-of-its-kind Monmouth County coloring book, which features local scenes of the area.
Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone presented the coloring book at three elementary schools, Swimming River Elementary School in Tinton Falls, Barack Obama Elementary School in Asbury Park and Wayside Elementary School in Ocean Township. He distributed more than 400 copies of the coloring book to students.

As students begin to color, they will meet a family taking a road trip through Monmouth County. The family begins by exploring the different regions in towns in all four corners of Monmouth, such as Red Bank, Freehold, Asbury Park and Manasquan. The family spends time at the libraries, parks and beaches where they participate in activities like fishing and golfing. In their travels, the family sees the vast farmland, historical houses and bridges that make Monmouth County so beautiful.

“We hope students are inspired by this coloring to explore the County themselves and ask their parents and teachers questions about their home county,” said Arnone.
