The CDC just approved the Pfizer vaccine for children last Tuesday.

Gov. Murphy said on Monday that he is considering lifting the mask mandate in schools if enough older kids get vaccinated, meaning the mask mandate could be lifted for kids 12-17.

"In terms of lifting the mask mandate in schools, I could see it as we do it in a phased approach if that number of 12 to 17 year olds gets into an acceptable zone, which it almost by definition will before the younger kids," said Murphy Monday.
