Parkway Lane Shut Down 'Indefinitely' After Crash

A lane on the Garden State Parkway has been shut down indefinitely after a crash damaged the roadway, according to authorities.

The right lane of the northbound Parkway local side, just north of Exit 109 in Middletown, will be closed for emergency bridge repairs, according to authorities.

The structure that was struck carries the Parkway over Middletown-Lincroft Road. The structure was damaged Thursday when it was hit by a back hoe being hauled on the bed of a trailer.

Drivers are advised to check with traffic reports before entering the area.
