In Monmouth County Superior Court last Wednesday, Mendez-Romero admitted that while working together, he touched the victim on her breasts in an offensive manner.
This involved multiple incidents at the two separate Boondocks Fishery locations, said the prosecutor. The incidents took place on various dates between June of 2020 and February 10, 2021.

There are still charges pending against two other men accused similarly of inappropriately touching that same teenage girl: Eduardo Jimenez-Berdejo, 36, and Jesus E. Reyes-Rodriguez, 36, both of Red Bank.
Mendez-Romero is the first to plead guilty on third-degree child endangerment, harassment and offensive touching, the latter two being disorderly persons offenses.
Mendez-Romero will not face jail time for this: He is facing probation, no victim contact and no contact with anyone under the age of 18 when he is sentenced before Judge Cagan on July 28.
