Two Middletown Men Arrested In Hoboken SantaCon

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — This past weekend's Santa Con in Hoboken saw 17 arrests, including for public urination and spitting at police officers — and two Middletown men were among those charged in the day-long drunken melee.

Men from Middletown and Belford were arrested after allegedly getting into a fight outside a Hoboken bar. Jared Mosier, 22, of Belford, and Justin Balaban, 22, of Middletown, were both charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest while waiting in line for Mills Tavern, Hoboken police said.

Officers on patrol said they witnessed four people fall to the ground in a scuffle while waiting to get into Mills Tavern. Police tried to break the fight up, but Balaban allegedly jumped on one officer's back. The fight was eventually broken up, and a third man, Isaac Parnass, 26, of Bloomfield, was arrested as well.
