Dream Big: Engineering Our World - An introduction to engineers and engineering for people of all ages, especially families and children, including a free film screening of the award-winning documentary Dream Big: Engineering Our World and several virtual panels in November where patrons can join live conversations with the Dream Teams of young, diverse engineers who will answer questions, share their personal stories and what inspires them to make a positive difference in the world. Travel the world to see engineering in action, from the Great Wall of China, to solar car races in Australia, and underwater robots in the USA. Didgeridoo Down Under Variety Show: An energetic fusion of Australian music, culture, puppetry, comedy, character building, storytelling and audience participation. Mystery Book Club discusses Miami Blues by Charles Willeford. Weather permitting the group will meet in the Library’s outdoor patio, social distanced and with masks. Teen Art Club: The Magic of Grids - Learn to use grids to reproduce and draw your favorite images. Grids can be used to enlarge and reduce these images as well. Video instructions will be posted on the Library’s YouTube page. Use your own materials or pick up a kit of materials at the Library prior to the event. Supplies limited; registration required for kit. Kits available beginning Tuesday November 10. For teens. Thursday, November 12th.
Adult DIY Craft: Fall Leaf Cross Stitch Ornament Craft Kit. Kits available for pickup beginning November 10th while supplies last. There are two variations of the Fall Leaf Cross Stitch Ornament Craft Kit. View the online reference photo and specify which you prefer. NOTE: we cannot guarantee a preference but will accommodate if that version of the craft kit is still available. Adult DIY Craft Kits are first come, first served.
