What's Happening @ Middletown Township Public Library 3/21-27/21

Free online programs @ Middletown Township Public Library

The Library is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant as part of the national NEA BIG READ event. The month-long event kicks off with an online interview with Nathaniel Philbrick, author of In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex. His book, which won the 2000 National Book Award for Nonfiction and was adapted as a major motion picture in 2015, tells the true story that inspired Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. The interview will be aired on the Library’s YouTube channel on March 22nd at 2:30 pm and can be viewed through April 30th.

Other NEA BIG READ events also begin on March 22nd and are listed in the Library’s online calendar. A printed brochure is available at the Library’s Circulation Desk.

Wifi Hotspots are now available at the Middletown Township Public Library. Wifi Hotspots are wifi-on-the-go enabling connection to a device that provides internet service wherever you are. Perfect for traveling. Five Wifi Hotspots are available for borrowing and must be checked out/returned to the Reference Desk. Restrictions apply. Virtual Math Tutoring: Need help with math? Sign up for a free virtual tutoring session with high school honor students on Monday and Thursday afternoon. Have your math work with you, textbook and/or homework. Tutoring is for students in grades K-12 only. Each tutoring session is 60 minutes long, starting at 3:30 pm. Register online @ mtpl.org.
