Remember These Rules About Lawn Signs In Millburn For Special Election

Will Millburn make a big change to its local government – or keep it the same? Voters will decide on June 16.

MILLBURN, NJ — Want to put up a lawn sign for the upcoming special election in Millburn? There are some rules to keep in mind, township administrators say.

On Monday, the Township of Millburn issued some reminders for anyone placing lawn signs for a political candidate or a position on the June 16 referendum:

  • RIGHT OF WAY – No signs should be placed on public property or the right of way to that property. This includes property owned by Millburn Township, the Millburn Public School District, county government or the state of New Jersey.
  • SIGN REMOVAL – All signage must be removed as quickly as possible following an election.
  • PUBLIC PROPERTY – Any signs placed on public property will be promptly removed.

“We appreciate everyone's anticipated cooperation with this matter,” the town’s advisory added.
