Gajdos Pitches Mustangs Past Morris Hills
6 innings of shutout ball and a three-run fifth inning give the Mustangs their second win.
The Mustangs start out 2-0 on the season, following up a wild 17-12 win in Montclair on Saturday with a commanding 5-2 victory over Morris Hills on Monday.

Montville piled on the runs in the fifth; scoring three on a two-run RBI from Jordan Gajdos and another RBI single for Marchionda.

Gajdos was commanding for the Mustangs, striking out 9 on his way to 6 and 1/3 innings of shutout baseball. “Jordan really left it out there, Head coach Joe Cardinale said of his pitcher. “He didn’t allow a runner for six innings. He’s one of our leaders and our hardest workers. I can’t say I’m surprised at all."

John Marchionda went 2-3 at the plate with two hits and two RBIs. Brain Keane scored one on an RBI single in the sixth inning to give Montville a 5-1 lead.
