The Montville field hockey team raised its record to 5-3 in 2011 with a 2-1 win over Vernon (8-2) on Monday, according to NJ.com. Leading the way for Montville was Danica Witty and Alyssa Gettel, who each found the back of the cage once in the win. Montville goalie Lindsay Karback had four saves.

Girls Volleyball Falls to Morris Knolls
The girls volleyball team dropped its ninth game of the season on Monday, falling to Morris Knolls in three frames, according to NJ.com. Michelle Shteyn had 10 kills and Sydney Strickland added 15 digs in the loss.
