You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Montville Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
- On the surface, one could be forgiven for assuming the Red Barn offers nothing more than the standard home-cooked fare. However, once one passes the rustic, homey interior, complete with picnic table and counter-top seating and dives into the menu, the Towaco eatery becomes a place where comfort food and healthy choices come together with fine results. Wheat waffles topped with fresh fruit and elaborate wraps that don’t skimp on the veggies are only two of the highlights from this Montville establishment. Throw in coffee cups that never end and a cheerful wait staff and the Red Barn becomes the de-facto place to get a start on your morning. Open for breakfast and lunch daily, with expanded dinner hours on Tuesday and Thursday.
