Mayse Sets School Record for Career Points as Montville Crushes DePaul
Senior nets four goals as Mustangs even record at 2-2 on the season.
The Montville High boys lacrosse team moved to 2-2 on the season after pounding DePaul 15-8 on Saturday afternoon.

Montville jumped out to an early lead that was highlighted by Nick Mayse's four goals, which gave him the all-time career points record at Montville High School. Nick Mayse—The senior and four-year starter set a new record for career points. His four goals helped the Mustangs jump out to a 6-2 first-quarter lead. He scored two goals in both the first and third quarters, and his heady play was rewarded with a celebration after the game for his record-setting day.

OTHER KEY PERFORMANCES
Andrew Reynold (Montville) dominated the faceoff circle, started the scoring off in the first quarter on his way to three first quarter goals and five total on the day. Ryan O'Lear (Montville) set up behind the net at the X position for most of the game, sprung free for three second half goals to keep DePaul at bay. Mike Caposella (DePaul) paced his side with three goals and faced constant defensive attention. His quickness and speed was an issue for the Mustangs.
