Montville 15/16U Baseball Team Loses in Semifinals
Basking Ridge's 18-hit attack is too much for Montville to overcome.
The Montville 15/16U baseball team lost it’s semifinal playoff game Tuesday night as Basking Ridge pounded out 18 hits to beat Montville 16-3. The team, which plays in the West Division of the New Providence Green League is composed of 15-16 year olds who do not play for their high school teams.

Montville scored first as Andrew Tedeshi lead off the game with a walk, stole second and scored on Dan Fusella’s RBI single.
The lead was short-lived as Basking Ridge came right back with three in the bottom of the first.
Trailing 12-1 Montville was able to cut into the lead in the fourth. Matt Hoffman led of with a single but was thrown out at third trying to go first-to-third on Dan Guarneri’s single to right. Dan Fusella singled and Ryan Paddock brought them both home with a double.

an RBI and a run scored.

Ryan Paddock – had 2 RBIs as he went 1-for-1 with a double and a walk.
Andrew Tedeshi – scored the first run of the game to give Montville it’s only lead of the game.
Dom Guarneri – went 1-for-2 with a run scored.
