3 Incumbents Face 1 Challenger In Moorestown School Board Race
Three incumbents are up for re-election in next week's Moorestown Board of Education elections, and one resident is challenging them.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The three incumbents running for re-election to the Moorestown Public School District Board of Education face one challenge in next week’s general election.
Board President Sandra Alberti and Board Members Mark Villanueva and Maurice Weeks are all up for re-election on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Mark Snyder is also seeking a seat on the board. Matthew Kane originally filed to run, but has since withdrawn from the race.
Alberti and Weeks were first elected in 2016. In 2017, Alberti was nominated board president after Kathy Goldenberg was appointed to the State Board of Education. Villanueva was appointed the same night, and elected to fill the remainder of the seat later that year.
