5 Candidates To Pursue 3 Open Seats On Moorestown School Board
Three incumbents face 2 challengers this fall. Katerine Mullin will run unopposed for the seat she was appointed to in a separate election.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Five candidates are pursuing three open, full-term seats on the Moorestown Public School District Board of Education in November.
Board President Sandra Alberti and Board Members Mark Villanueva and Maurice Weeks are all up for re-election this year. They all filed to run by the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday, July 29.
They will be challenged by Matthew Kane and Mark Snyder, according to the unofficial listed posted on the Burlington County Clerk’s website.

Villanueva filed with the slogan “Independent, Fiscally Responsible.” He was the only one to file under a slogan.
Earlier this year, Katherine Mullin was appointed to fill a vacant seat by the other board members. She will run unopposed to fill the remainder of the one-year term.

The lists were finalized and posted on the clerk's website Wednesday morning, but remains unofficial pending certification.
