8 Popular Stores Opening In NJ While 2 Close: Find Out Where
One of the stores leading the way has been described as "HomeGoods on Steroids."

New Jersey was saddened to see two of its most popular stores announce plans to close this past week. But there is encouraging news for the state's economy: Another eight popular stores have either opened very recently or plan to arrive in the state very soon.
Home décor retailer HomeGoods has announced plans to open stores in New Jersey, filling buildings as big as 20,095 square-feet. At the same time, Homesense, which one publication called "HomeGoods on steroids," is also planning to locate stores in New Jersey (see list below).
The news comes just as Sears announced a number of nationwide closures, including its store at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. Read more: Another Sears Closing In NJ: Important Dates

- Howell: Just weeks after signs announced the retailer was hiring, the grand opening for a HomeGoods store in Howell was announced: Sept. 8. The store will be open 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., located at the Howell Commons Shopping Center, 7731 Route 9 in Howell. Read more here...
- Paramus: The Homesense store is located at 404 Route 17 between E. Midland Avenue and Sette Drive. The store is open 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It closes at 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays due to Bergen County blue laws. Read more here...
- Moorestown: A time frame has been established for the Homesense opening in the Moorestown Mall. Homesense is expected to open on Sept. 20, according to the company's store locator. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day. Read more here...
- Brick: The Brick Plaza HomeGoods store opened two months ago. Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Read more here...
- Parsippany: Three more stores have been announced for the upcoming Waterview Marketplace in Parsippany: Orangetheory, Homesense and The Paper Store. Those stores will join a Whole Foods, Ulta Beauty, and Shake Shack. Waterview Marketplace is still under construction, and is expected to open by the end of 2018 or early 2019. Read more here...
- East Hanover: The new Homesense location opened Sept. 7 in East Hanover Plaza. Read more here...
- Bayonne: HomeGoods has announced plans to open a 20,095 square-foot store in Bayonne. The new store, which will be located in the South Cove Commons at 110 LaFante Way, will open on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 8 a.m. Read more here...
- Burlington Township: HomeGoods opened its doors at the Liberty Square Shopping Center, 2200 Mount Holly Road in Burlington Township in June, according to the store's website. The store is open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Read more here.....
