Fort Dix Inmate Indicted In Child Porn Ring: Authorities
At the same time, another of the eight inmates accused in the ring admitted to his role, authorities said.

An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix (FCI Fort Dix) has been indicted in connection with a child pornography ring at the federal prison, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced on Wednesday.
At the same time, another inmate admitted to his role in the ring, which included a total of eight people who had already been imprisoned on previous child pornography charges, according to authorities.
William H. Noble, 52, of Lowell, Massachusetts, was charged by indictment with conspiracy to receive and distribute child pornography, receipt of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and accessing child pornography with intent to view on federal property. He will be arraigned at a later date.

Charles Wesley Bush, 38, of Knoxville, Tennessee, pleaded guilty to an information charging him with one count of possession of child pornography.
Noble is accused of transferring a micro SD Card containing 2,471 images and 95 videos of child pornography, including depictions of sexual abuse of pre-pubescent children, bestiality, and sadistic and masochistic conduct, to a government informant in the prison on April 19, 2017.

He is accused of downloading the images himself with the help of another inmate. Noble previously pleaded guilty in the District of Massachusetts to transportation and distribution of child pornography. He was serving a sentence of six years, nine months at the prison, and was scheduled to be released on March 8 of this year.
Instead, he is now in custody pending trial on the charges in Wednesday’s indictment. The indictment is merely an accusation, and Noble is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Bush admitted that he was in possession of the card Noble is accused of making, authorities said. He also admitted to using a cell phone inside the prison to obtain and possess child pornography, and that he knowingly engaged in the distribution of child pornography by agreeing to transfer the micro SD card to another inmate, according to authorities.
Bush previously pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of Tennessee to three counts of distribution of child pornography and possession of materials containing child pornography. He was serving a sentence of 12 years, seven months, with a scheduled release date of May 24, 2024.
He now faces a mandatory minimum term of 10 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 10.
With Bush’s plea, seven of the eight inmates accused of participating in the ring have now admitted their guilt. One has already been sentenced.
Erik M. Smith, 36, of Iron Mountain, Michigan, was sentenced to 12 years, 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography. He is also subject to five years of supervised release.
Shortly after that sentencing, Christopher D. Roffler, 30, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, pleaded guilty to an information charging him with one count of possession of child pornography. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 12.
Anthony C. Jeffries, 32, of Orange, Virginia, the alleged ringleader, pleaded guilty to an information charging him with one count of possession of child pornography. His sentencing is scheduled for July 10.
