Fugitive In Maryland Killing Caught At Moorestown Apartment: Police

The man was charged with 1st-degree murder after an argument escalated to a fatal stabbing, according to Maryland authorities.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A man wanted as a fugitive in a Maryland murder case was found Friday in Moorestown, authorities said.

Riley Lee Collick had an arrest warrant for first-degree murder, issued for a Maryland man's Dec. 4 death. U.S. Marshals apprehended Collick at a Moorestown apartment and brought him to a local jail, where he awaits a hearing on extradition to his home state, according to Maryland State Police.

It wasn't immediately clear why the Fruitland, Maryland, resident was in Moorestown. But the arrest concludes a half-year search for Collick, 44.

Law enforcement accused Collick of killing Alejandro Roland Exantus, 32, of Laurel, Delaware. Officers responded just before 1 a.m. Dec. 4 to a reported stabbing in Salisbury, Maryland.

Investigators believe Collick and Exantus got into an argument, which became a physical altercation. Collick stabbed the victim before leaving the scene, according to Maryland State Police. Officials took Exantus to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
