1) to recognize Barbara Rich as one of the most effective, enduring champions for the preservation of natural resources this township has ever known; and
2) to remain true to the original, designated name of the woods, in recognition of one of Moorestown’s leading lights in the use of research to protect our natural heritage: Silas Little.

I propose that the name of the woods be retained as “Little Woods,” with accompanying signage and plaque, dedicating the woods to Barbara A. Rich, through whose personal agency this piece of Rancocas legacy was secured, in perpetuity.
Sincerely, and for the natural heritage of Moorestown, Mark S. Thomas, M.D.,
Co-founder, with Barbara Rich, of the Rancocas Conservancy
