Moorestown Man Pleads Guilty in Romano's Service Station Robbery
Thomas Brown Jr. admitted his guilt in one of three armed robberies in which he was charged.

A Moorestown man has pleaded guilty to one armed robbery at Romano’s Service Station, but must pay restitution for this and an additional robbery at the same gas station, the Burlington County Times reports.
Theodore Brown Jr. was previously charged in connection with two robberies at the gas station and one at the 7-11 on Chester Avenue.
On Tuesday, he confessed to the armed robbery at Romano’s that took place on Sept. 26, 2014 according to the report. Charges in the other two robberies were dropped, but he must pay $1,500 in restitution in connection with both burglaries. He must pay it to the business and a victim.

In the Sept. 26 incident, Brown admits he threatened a 23-year-old attendant with a long-barreled handgun before escaping on foot with $300. The attendant was not injured.
The other robbery at Romano’s took place on Aug. 6, 2014. That incident also saw a man rob an employee at gunpoint.

The 7-11 robbery took place on Oct. 9, 2014.
Brown has a criminal history that includes five previous convictions in over 25 years, including stalking, drug possession and burglary, according to the report. His attorney said this played a role in the guilty plea, and that the court should consider her client’s alleged “psychiatric issues” during sentencing, according to the report.
