The hitch hiker found a ride... in the back of a police car.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — A hitch hiker got more than he bargained for when the car that picked him up was a Morris Plains police cruiser.

A 52-year-old Parsippany man was attempting to catch a ride with a passerby on April 13 when Morris Plains police were called to the scene. After talking to the man, police found multiple warrants for his arrest.
