Morris Twp Welcomes 3 New Police Officers

MORRIS TWP, NJ — Three new police officers were sworn in to the Morris Township Police Department at Wednesday night's town council meeting.

Officers Juan Concepcion, Nicholas Gonzalez and Caleb Hough all join the MTPD. The MTPD shared some background on each of the three officers, pictured above with Acting Chief Mark DiCarlo (second from right).

Officer Juan Concepcion (second from left)

Officer Juan Concepcion graduated Dover High School in 2009 and joined the United States Navy in 2010 where he served four years active duty aboard the USS Iwo Jima as a Machinest Mate 3rd Class. Officer Concepcion was deployed in 2012 to the Middle East and was honorably discharged in 2014 after earning "The Enlisted Navy Surface Warfare Specialist" pin and "The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal."

Officer Nicholas Gonzalez graduated Vernon Township High School in 2009 and entered into the NJ National Guard where he served from 2011 through 2014. In 2014, Officer Gonzalez earned a B.A. in History from William Paterson University. Prior to joining the Morris Township Police Department, Officer Gonzalez worked at Willowglen Academy for six years assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.

Officer Caleb Hough graduated from Ridge High School in 1998 and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College in 2004. Officer Hough began his career as a police officer with the Morris County Park Police in 2006. During his 11 years with the Park Police, he spent 7 years as a patrolman and 4 years as a detective. He has served on special task forces with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
